We manufacture and sell bone folders made of PTFE for various industry applications, including but not exclusive to the book binding industry.  These bone folders are especially designed for delicate transfers and scraping.   There are many advantages to using bone folders made of PTFE over traditional bone folders.  We believe that our product offers a great enhancement in the bone folder technology, and is greatly appreciated by our customers.   Today's bone folder is made to last, it allows for easy cleaning and reuse, it will not graze or mar delicate papers, fabrics, and coatings, and most importantly it is very cost effective.  Following is a list of properties and advantages which PTFE bone folders offer.

Properties:

• Non-Stick

  • PTFE's non-stick properties insure that almost nothing will stick to the folder, even the stickiest glues and paints can not get a grip on its slippery surface.
  • From +500º F to -390º F a PTFE folder has such a low coefficient of friction that it will glide, slide, and roll without leaving a mark.
 

• Chemically Inert

  • Folders made of PTFE are non-wetting and inert to almost every known chemical, they will not contaminate your application.
  • Bone folders made from cow bone may contaminate your application with unknown and potentially harmful residues.
 

• Reusable

  • Due to PTFE's excellent non-stick and chemical inertness properties these folders can be easily cleaned and reused in various applications, helping you leverage your investment across multiple projects.
 

• Strong

  • Folders made of PTFE are not as easily breakable as Bone folders, they will last virtually forever.
 

• Applications:

  • Used by book binders, graphic artists and crafts people for creasing, burnishing and gluing materials together.
  • Useful in medical, biomedical, pharmaceutical, chemical, and manufacturing fields.
  • Excellent for removing molded parts from molds without damaging their nonstick coating.
